Apple may launch new iPads as soon as March, hints new filing

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is all set to launch two new iPads as soon as March, if the filing with Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is to be believed.
First spotted by French blog Consomac, this filing shows that the EEC has given Apple the authorization to market new products. The EEC gives authorizations as well as undertakes regulation of the sale of electronic products in countries such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The filing dated February 19, reveals the model numbers of the iPads to be starting with "CC" or "AA", not at par with what the iPads usually come with, leading a speculation that Apple may launch a new series of iPads, consisting of six 'tablet computer samples' -- CC1704, CC1706, CC1708, CC1703, CC1705, CC1707 models. Also, the report states that Apple has acquired the marketing approvals of two tablet models -- A1893 and A1954.

The listing also shows Apple has also filed for the authorization of 'samples of the smartphones Apple' with model names AA1710, AA1711, AA1712, AA1713, AA1714, adding fuel to the speculation of iPhone SE 2 to be launching soon.

This listing reveals all the aforementioned products to be running on iOS 11.
Just this week, Chinese website QQ.com made the claim that the global smartphone market leader for the quarter ended 2017, is planning to launch the successor to the iPhone SE at its annual developers’ conference, Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), in June 2018. As per the report, the rumoured iPhone SE 2 will sport similar design as the original iPhone SE. On specs front, the iPhone SE 2 is expected to come in 32GB as well as 128GB storage variants, feature a 4.2-inch display and be powered by company's in-house A10 processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
